About the workshop
Learn how to compose original songs and how to record them. Tyna will be bringing his digital production gears for participants to record onto and also be speaking about career opportunities in the music industry.
About the facilitator
Tyna Keelan has spent over ten years working in the music industry, as an artist/producer and session musician. After leaving school and gaining a diploma in commercial music and composition, Tyna spent the next few years travelling the world and performing before returning to Aotearoa and releasing his first album 'Trade Secrets' in 2002. This debut album received critical praise and gold sales status. Since then Tyna has featured on more platinum albums than he can remember, from Scribe and Pmoney to Katchafire and Blindspott. He has worked on some of the most successful records New Zealand has ever seen. Tyna has also opened for artists like 50cent, De La Soul, and Bone Thugz n Harmony and toured with some of the worlds biggest acts like My Chemical Romance, The Killerz and Lupe Fiasce etc. Tyna has established himself as one of Aotearoa's best artist / producers and stays at the forefront of the industry. Tyna's new solo album is in the works now and scheduled for a late 2008 release.
